Truly, the hotel is very, very bad.
On Saturday, May 23, 2026, I embarked on a relaxing trip from Mendoza with a motorcycle group to the city of Villa General Belgrano. We were excited to stay at the Panacea Hotel, as we had previously reserved and canceled, paying the sum of 360 pesos for two nights in a SUPERIOR double room. However, the experience we had exceeded any negative expectations we could have imagined.
We arrived at the hotel around 7:45 PM after a long eleven-hour journey. From the moment we were assigned the room and led down a hallway with visibly worn and dirty carpet, we knew something was wrong. Indeed, the room was far from being "superior": it was located in a basement accessed by a staircase without signage or emergency exit. Upon entering, we noted the lack of maintenance: the bathroom window would not close, which was already quite concerning.
The worst came when I was preparing to sleep. When I went to take a shower, I discovered that the shower was broken and the towels were completely stained. Despite our attempts, the bathroom window could not be closed, allowing cold and humidity to enter. But the most alarming thing was that when I settled into bed, I saw a spider come out of my slippers; when I moved the bed in search of it, three more appeared, one of which crawled onto the mattress. When I removed the mattress, the number of spiders increased, clearly indicating a serious hygiene and maintenance problem. To make matters worse, the bed was old, sagging, and had a strong smell of dampness.
In light of this situation, we decided to call the on-duty manager, who took photographs of the spiders but told us he could not offer any solution: there was no other room available, no extra mattresses, and no insecticide to eradicate the spiders. It is incredible and unfortunate to face such indifference in a place that should provide rest and safety.
Finally, we managed to switch to another hotel, but the next day, when I went to formally request a refund for the money transferred in a timely manner, the manager evaded the issue with confusing explanations and did not take any responsibility or offer any solution.
For this reason, I want to warn all travelers considering staying at the Panacea Hotel: the experience can turn into a nightmare, not only due to the deplorable conditions but also because of the total lack of commitment and response from the staff. I hope this complaint serves to prevent others from going through the same experience as us and that the relevant authorities take action to improve the quality of service and ensure the safety of their guests.

TERRIBLE ordeal. A hotel problem caused me 2nd degree burns and the hotel was not even interested in helping.
Unfortunately we lived a terrible experience, where being in the hydromassage begins to come out water at very high temperature from the spool unexpectedly, without touching anything, and burned my lower back, we had to call the ambulance where they were found 1st degree burns, painkillers, creams... and the hotel? Zero concern. Two days later it was shown that they were 2nd degree burns, with large blisters.
The worst part was that the hotel did nothing to contain our situation, neither asked how we were, nor offered any assistance, everything we had to manage.
Total abandonment and zero empathy for the guest, due to a water problem of their facilities. They never acknowledged the situation, never offered any assistance or accompaniment. They never contacted us again. Of the worst we had to live.
If this had happened to a small boy or an elderly person or inability to move can be tragic, but I insist, the attitude of all hotel staff and owners to the disastrous situation is to disengage.

To always return...
The first thing to highlight is the work team. Attentive and helpful, polite and respectful. The hotel meets all expectations. The spacious and well-heated rooms with good mattresses make you feel very comfortable. Breakfast is rich and satisfying. It is well designed for people with reduced mobility. The large park with its pool and heated jacuzzi are where you can relax and enjoy the moment. Another attraction is the exit to the stream, which allows you to walk along its banks appreciating different birds with their trills and the sound of the water forming small waterfalls. It is just 100 meters from the civic center, which forces you to leave the car and walk through the streets of the beautiful Villa General Belgrano.
