Excellent is an understatement

Excellent location, price, and quality. A very well-decorated, warm, old house that perfectly reflects the colors of northern Argentina. The hotel is also well-served and cordial by the receptionist, Branco. Giving the best tips to get to know Tilcara and its surroundings

HOSTEL well located, cool but can be improved.

It is well located, close to the terminal and main street.
Very friendly staff.
The rooms are small and have little space for luggage.
It has small lockers to leave things at the bedside (documents, wallet) and individual lamp.
Beds cuchettes of 3 beds c/u and without too much distance between them.
More love and cleanliness could be given to bathrooms during the day.

Cabañas quite expensive and dirty

Apart from their hostel, they also run a couple of so called cabaňas which are really expensive for what you get. We booked one at the booking site based on their description but at first we were accommodated in a windowsless room (the booking confirmation specifically mentioned "view" in their room decription..) and only when we complained, we were moved to somehow better place with garden window, but still: The bathroom was dirty when we moved in and with toilet flushing malfunction on the top of that. Some of the beds were impossible to sleep at and must have been used for tens of years already.

Nothing Exciting

Was not impressed with this hostel. Nothing exciting or extra, and the room was tiny and had a million flies. Did not have a good vibe, and when i sat in the hostel i just wanted to get out. But lots of shower and sink space which was nice

Beautiful place and herbal garden

Enjoyed that place just in front of Tilcara bus station. Great relation price-quality, good breakfast and nice staff. I loved the small garden and the mural paintings also wooden tables outside. Rooms are comfortables and wifi working fine.
