attractive hotel in traditional style, good facilities, competent and helpful service

attractive, small hotel in traditional style with courtyard and small pool. Good location as something but not too far from the center. Directly from the terrace overlooking the local attractions, the Cerro de Siete Colores.
Very clean, well equipped rooms, competent and very helpful service.

Basically, this is a solid $50 per night place for which they're charging $225 a night on Hotels.com. It felt like a crazy rip-off. The rooms are clean but very basic. The pool area in the photos is a fiction. There is an unheated tiny little pool that isn't terribly usable. Inside the dark rooms, the radiators are on full blast, to the point of discomfort. It creates a stuffy, hot atmosphere. I had one window I could open, but it was just feet from a dirt street where a cloud of dust would come up every time a car or motorcycle passed. So the room was either stifling or dusty and loud. The bed was hard as a board and sheets were scratchy and made from polyester and were civered by brown polyester bedspreads and cheap throw pillows that didn't seem clean. The staff weren't mean, but they weren't terribly nice, either. The breakfast was kind of stingy. Mostly cold cereal and packaged bread. They did have avocados, though. I mean, if you're charging for a four-star place, put in the effort.

Comfortable

When you enter this village you think nothing can be up to standard here. But this hotel also stands out. Clean. Nice room. Big bed.

Great hotel in the village.

Charming hotel in the center of the village. Careful decoration, comfortable rooms, with all the necessary comfort for a pleasant stay. A good address.

Not great value.

Hotel is just fine. Location, in the centre of town, is good. Room was spacious. But the white towels and robes were yellowing. Cheap sheets. The price was quite high, and we felt the value is not there.
