Walloon experience

We stayed at this hotel until a few days ago...I stayed for 6 nights. As a first impact from the outside by little confidence but then turned out to be a great hotel both for the location and for what it offers. Very large and cozy room, excellent restaurant that offers both a rich and tasty breakfast and a dinner with good fish at great prices. The owner very kind and especially helpful, a great help for everything , both for hiking , for car rental and for transport from Vlora to Tirana. Really everything perfect. I recommend it.

Hostile Owner and All-Around Bad Experience – Avoid

We booked Hotel Salvatore expecting a pleasant stay, but it was really disappointing. The hotel entrance is confusing; what looks like the main door leads directly into a seafood cleaning area with an overpowering fish smell. The actual reception is through a small side door, unmanned when we arrived. The front door stays open all night
Breakfast was very basic—stale bread, croissants with yellow cream, watermelon, and poached eggs. When I asked for yoghurt, three tubs were brought (we were three guests). Things escalated when I left my sunglasses on the table so asked if staff had found them. The owner, Salvatore, aggressively demanded to know if I “thought” or “knew” I’d left them on the table and accused me of implying theft. He insisted I spend 30 minutes reviewing CCTV. They later turned up, but his reaction was unacceptable. He also shouted at me for eating in the room (I didn't. Ever) as that was 'against the rules' and also leaving the a/c running when I left-again, I turned the a/c off every single time I went out. Every. single. time.
On another morning, despite arriving for breakfast well within the 8–10 am window, I was yelled at for being “too late” and told I could only have one yoghurt, despite almost no food left because 'we have rules'. Rooms weren’t cleaned for days and bins overflowed-which, as you can't flush toilet paper, was truly disgusting.
While the location is fine, no guest should be treated with such hostility. I would stay just about anywhere else. It was a last minute booking for 3 rooms and we were surprised to find something-now we understand why.

Forget about it.

Not recommended. Rude Owner, arrogant, bad smell considering the proximity to the fish market just below the hotel. After a small misunderstanding, the Owner threatened to leave and raised his voice more than once even asking to pay by card instead of cash. Buffet breakfast? But where? Bad food and inadequate prices for dinner considering the (non) quality.

I stayed here in July. Poor food, from breakfast to dinner Rude and grumpy staff and owner
They do not allow you to pay by card but only in cash, ditto for the entire soggiorno.Camera rumorosa.Non recommended.

my journey to the land of eagles

Very clean, bright rooms, with balcony; excellent location to reach the center area on foot in a few minutes; friendliness and kindness of the owner; complete and tasty breakfast. We enjoyed an excellent fresh fish dinner in the hotel restaurant.
