Hotel Utopia
Nasz hotel położony jest około 2 km od prywatnej plaży o nazwie "Utopia Beach Bar & Restaurant". Wszystkie pokoje wyposażone są w telewizor z płaskim ekranem i dostępem do kanałów kablowych. W każdym pokoju hotelowym znajduje się biurko.

A 10 out of 10 hotel in Ksamil
I have stayed for 4 days with some friends at this hotel, and it has been a perfect stay. Ana and her partner are wonderful, and they have treated us as if we were family; that is how we felt. Everything was very clean, the hotel is very new, and it is clear that they put a lot of care into everything. It is located very close to the beach and the restaurant area; you can walk to any place. If we were to return, we would definitely do it again. A huge hug for them. (In case they read this review, we are the two couples with the blonde 10-year-old boy who greeted us every day and who had an improvised birthday party there by the pool.)

Discreet hotel, nothing more
Good modern hotel, 300 meters from some equipped beaches and adjacent to shops and restaurants of all kinds, the street in which it is located however is not the most beautiful, dimly lit and with a bad bottom, as indeed the vast majority of Albanian streets, the receptionist girl greeted us in a very friendly and helpful to solve the first problem, the air conditioning just arrived did not work, we found that it turned off as soon as you opened a window, our room was really small, just the living space, there is no bidet, but ok, we will be strange Italians , the breakfast very basic, I asked for hot milk, they replied that it was an extra, all in all we had a good time.

I would have loved it if I was 20 and going to the club, but I am not!
Definitely would not stay here or recommend to anyone other than young people looking to party. Ksamil is a party town where students and Europeans (mostly Italians) come for a cheap party vacation. Sadly we did not realize that and found ourselves at here on a friends holiday (we are in our 40s and professional, btw). Every night from midnight till 5am people were coming home from the clubs shouting through the halls, and smoking on their balconies with the doors open so the smoke wafts inside.
They advertise that they have a beach, but when we arrived they said it is 2km away and they are charge for beds. Additionally they told us the credit card machine was broken, which was most likely a lie so they could evade taxes. On our last night, the AC was out but they kept trying to re-set it and as they did, it would ring the phones through every room and re-set the AC with a loud beep.
For anyone who wants to see the Ksamil beaches, I would recommend staying outside of town or even better in Sarande and just visiting the beaches, preferably not right in town as they are so crowded. There is nothing to see in the town of Ksamil, just cheap souvenir shops, grocery stores, and restaurants that were so-so. We found the food better at the beach clubs further from town and in Sarande.

Hotel Utopia
Nice hotel, was done clean every day. Good and fresh breakfast. A little pity that there is no private beach, as we were referred to the beach right below. Very listen out to the hallway outside the room. Not very beautiful view if you don't have a sea view.

Avoid this hotel
Double charged.
We stayed here in the first week of June and when we arrived we were told we must pay upfront for the reservation. I had three hotels booked over the course of our trip, two which had been paid up front and one that was pay on arrival, and presumed this was the hotel that had been reserved so I paid the room charge. However when we reached our next hotel it turned out that was the hotel that had been reserved and when I checked my receipts I could see I had already paid for Hotel Utopia via Hotels.com at the start of May. I contacted the hotel on the 7th of June and while I received an acknowledgment of my issue I have heard nothing since then. I have also contacted Hotels.com and they are very helpful in trying to get this resolved but they are not receiving any responses either. It's outrageous I've not had a response, I have my evidence of both payments and should have had this resolved by now. Be careful when booking and paying and have your evidence when you arrive.
An update on the above, I am still waiting on my refund despite the hotel requesting my IBAN (which I provided over two weeks ago). Since then it's been silence from the hotel and now Hotels.com are not responding to me on this issue either. It is an absolute disgrace that I have had to continually chase my own money and I'm shocked at the rudeness from Hotel Utopia to not bother responding. Avoid this hotel at all costs
