Beautiful B&B, highly recommended!
We have discovered a great place where we will definitely go again. This B&B is quietly located, with beautiful views of nature, and offers the perfect setting for a relaxing stay. The rooms are not only beautifully decorated, but also spotlessly clean, which contributes to the feeling of comfort and tranquility.
After a lovely autumn walk, enjoying a winter pampering board was a real service, along with a glass from the honesty bar. This small gesture made the stay extra special and created a relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast was varied and complete, and what makes this B&B truly unique is that many of the products are homemade. This gives a personal touch that we appreciated very much.
The host and hostess are incredibly friendly and caring. Their warm smiles and attention to every detail make you feel welcome right away. The whole stay exudes a homely atmosphere, and we have really felt at home here.
All in all, this is a wonderful place to take a break and enjoy nature, and we can warmly recommend this B&B. Definitely a place to return to!

decent stay spoiled by the dishonesty of the owners
Unfortunately, our stay was partly ruined by the owners.
Although at first glance it seemed very nice and warm. They have been dishonest with us.
We booked a night for 2 knowing that the property had a Jacuzzi and sauna. On Booking at the time of booking, it was not noted at any time that this was extra.
So we sent a message to Marica via Booking for more information on "wellness". The answer was simple: "we'll see where we are"
Once there, we were told to let them know when we wanted to go and that was it. Of course, not to mention that it paid off and extra.
Despite several questions that might have presaged that we didn't know about it like, "Can we go before and after our restaurant?"
We were never told about the rates and that it was extra.
The price was only displayed at the wellness gate (weirdly open on arrival => impossible to see) and in their book on their accommodation including pages on the history of the mill, reconstruction,... And three pages of rules to follow. But of course there was never any oral mention of this. Book only available in the room we were not yet going to at the time we asked for wellness)
We realized the pink pole after 1 hour of jacuzzi and 10 minutes of sauna, which we were charged 75€.
When we explained the situation, they mentioned the private aspect of the wellness area (we were not aware) and that it was expensive to heat a Jacuzzi and sauna.
Besides,
- they dared to tell us that it was not the first time that this happened!! (No kidding)
- no commercial gesture, except a voucher of 15€ in their shop or for a future stay. (Send by message 2 hours after our departure from the ruttemolen).
In conclusion, with €261.82 spent for one night, we are disappointed to have trusted people who only wanted to make as much money as possible on our backs despite a place conducive to change of scenery and relaxation.

Nos prix sont clairement indiqués, à la fois sur la porte du centre de bien-être (également visible lorsque la porte est ouverte) et dans les informations de bienvenue dans la chambre. Nos prix sont transparents et nous nous efforçons toujours d'informer nos clients correctement et honnêtement.
J'ai essayé d'expliquer qu'un centre de bien-être interne consomme beaucoup d'énergie et que cela n'est pas inclus dans le prix d'une chambre à 130 euros. En effet, certains clients ne l'utilisent pas et ne doivent pas payer pour cela. Cela semble donc juste.
Si vous utilisez des services, il me semble normal qu'il y ait un prix en retour.
En ce qui concerne notre hospitalité et notre service, nous pouvons vous assurer que rien n'a changé à cet égard. Nous avons tout mis en œuvre pour rendre votre séjour le plus agréable possible et vous apporter les meilleurs soins, comme vous le dites vous-même. Il est donc regrettable de lire que vous avez trouvé notre approche injuste. Il s'agit plutôt d'un manque de respect de votre part

Super friendly welcome with all the necessary explanations (and fortunately no unnecessary chitchat): we felt right at home. Spacious bedroom with pleasant dressing room. Bathroom was maybe a little small (in favor of a larger room) but not disturbing. (a little more lighting at the mirror as a tip?).
We had also chosen the ‘table d’hôtes’ option and we did not complain about that! The host can cook fine (surprising first amuze!) and the hostess was very unobtrusive, helpful and friendly. Added value: if wine lover was pleasantly surprised from the wine list.
We were also charmed that the owners still use the real concept of a b&b in these “me, myself and I” and “social media” times. Everyone at the same table and ‘socialising’ with strangers.
Lovely bed and super pleasant down blanket (alpaca) in a super quiet room. Great sleep well in other words.
The breakfast was superb. Really nothing short and very diverse.
Finally: hostess and gentleman exude enthusiasm and inspiration. It is wonderful that they can remain themselves and still perform their tasks perfectly.

Welcoming Experience
Nice weather in mid-October and a few days unexpected holiday so we head to the welcoming Ruttermolen .
Upon entering the domain, the tranquility of the Jeker and the Watermill immediately gives us a pleasant feeling.
Marica receives us smiling and warmly.
We receive the key and she escorts us to the room, she also shows us the well-stocked honesty bar, we will not be thirsty here for the next 2 days:)
In the room get another little explanation, Show them where we can find the cups and glasses for the free coffee, tea and water.
The room is as shown in the picture immaculate and comfortable.
Bed made with a down blanket of Alpaca wool , there is also a chocolate attention ready.
Clean bathroom with hairdryer in the storage cabinet and products from Rituals.
It's afternoon and we decide to enjoy a home-turned ice cream in the sun at the Jeker . so nice!
In the evening we are expected for the aperitif in the mill.
We can choose from a wide range , accompanied by culinary snacks, at the table we enjoy a high level dinner, thank you Serge, it was tasty .
Breakfast was very extensive, we start with apple juice from apples from our own garden after which Serge comes to ask if we like an egg, of our choice with or without bacon. Wide bread choice supplemented with pistolets and coffee cookies. Various cold cuts and cheeses. As surplus granola, joghurt and homemade rice porridge.
Various homemade jams and hazelnut paste do not forget. We get a jug of coffee and Marica regularly comes to ask if everything is sufficiently present.
When checking out we take a look around the shop with home made and local products, warm socks of alpaca wool, home made ginger syrup and hazelnut paste....
We'll visit the Alpacas and say goodbye, but we'll definitely be back.

Best place to stay in Tongeren
We lived in the area for 3.5 years and were moving abroad and stayed during our packout. We have been acquanited with De Ruttermolen for sometime and cannot say thank you enough for the great time spent there. From amazing cooking, to the wonderful atmosphere to the wonderful and comfy rooms and the best hospitality. The winkle is great with speacial treasures and the icecream is amazing! Thank you!
