Nobody at the reception.
Had to contact trip.com for the hotel to email the code. Was stuck outside the locked hotel reception for an hour before they send the code.
So tired after the flight yet had to wait so long, disappointing …
However, room was clean and comfy.

A very comfortable and high tech stay but...
The down side was that all instructions on the technology was all in Japanese.
There were instructions in English and I am sure younger and more technically-minded people would cope but after day one, we could not work out how to turn on the shower again so had baths every day.
The place does not have a reception so there is no one on-site to receive the bags we had forwarded and it was up to us to call the baggage company, and, thanks to Google Translate and the wonderfully helpful staff of the transporters, the bags were delivered to us not long after we arrived. We would like to have been pre-warned about this.
In the room, shampoo etc and soap are provided, there is a kettle and cups but no tea or coffee so we had to get that. There are no plates provided, knife or cloth to dry the dishes after you use them or to wipe down the benches. There is a vacuum cleaner and a very good steamer for clothes and a hairdryer provided. There is no laundry facilities.
Overall, it was a good stay as the hotel is in a perfect position to find restaurants, shops, corner stores and charming alleyways to explore.
We accidentally discovered that the Family Mart 100m from our hotel forwarded luggage so we were able to arrange that ourselves. But more information from the hotel would have been useful.
Overall, I would stay here again - some Japanese hotel rooms and beds are tiny - this one was generous, but I would stock up on paper plates, bring a knife and bring tea and coffee with me.
