Our experience wasn't off to a good start, dealing with Jason when dropping our bags in the morning. He was borderline racist, assuming we were with the other Asian groups, making presumptions about our requests, and had difficulties understanding our requests on arranging for early to-go breakfast boxes.
But everything else during our stay was perfect hence the 5 stars. Everyone else we dealt with, including the house keepers, restaurant staff and cleaners were all great - very helpful and friendly.
The hotel is strategically located right next to the Central railway station.
The room itself was large and clean and beautifully decorated. We also tried out the facilities including sauna and cold plunge (a Finnish culture), which were top notch. The gym was also world class and properly better equipped than some other commercial gyms out there.
The other highlight was the breakfast. So many options even for vegetarians like us, all allergens clearly labelled.
I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who's ever in Helsinki.

Sumptuous boutique luxury
If you’re looking for boutique luxury, this is your hotel. Sumptuous rooms, easy check in and a fabulous breakfast. Beds are comfortable and rooms dark and quiet at night. Well located right near central station. We really enjoyed our short stay here!

Great city location
My partner and I stayed at the NH Grand Hansa hotel in Helsinki for 2 nights. We arrived via train and the hotel couldn't have been in a better location. Just a 5 minute walk with our luggage.
We had a very friendly welcome and first impressions of the hotel very good.
Hotel room was lovely. Absolutely immaculate and a lovely relaxed colour palate.
Breakfast was superb. The choice so diverse with lots of local dishes and great service too.
We used the sauna area which was lovely and run with military precision by the spa staff.
Overall, a really great luxury hotel in the heart of Helsinki which we would recommend to others.

Lovely stay in Central Helsinki
Beautiful new hotel in a superb position in Helsinki, a couple of minutes walk from shops, the central train station and everything you could possibly need. The staff are extremely helpful and obliging, the room was comfortable - it was just unfortunate that we were in a corner room on the 7th floor and the view to the main road was blocked. Breakfast was all you could hope for and more (superb) and on the weekends having breakfast available until 1.00pm is a bonus. We love Finland and will be back, both in Helsinki and at NH Collection Helsinki Grand Hansa

Oh my gosh...book this hotel if you are going to Helsinki...incredible location...close to everything--the library, the central railway station and Stockmans, that venerable department store filled to the brim with QUALITY.
The service at Grand Hansa was amazing...the breakfast incredible (so many options) and the restaurant was so delicious....salmon, freshly caught.
Rooms are spacious and every amenity i(heated bathroom floor) is provided. Highly recommend!!!
