Dreamlike
One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. Definitely not modern but it is a historic hotel. In fact, I do not understand the negative reviews that call for a more modern hotel. In my opinion, they do not understand the peculiarities of this place that in addition to being a hotel is a piece of history in which illustrious people have also stayed and that represents the ancient Tuscan nobility. Very kind and sunny staff. Beautiful room overlooking the harbor, very clean and well stocked. The breakfast was great.

To renovate, great location antique furnishings
Hotel located in a great location for both visiting the city and the ferry port. The exterior structure is pleasant although visibly not modern.
We stayed two nights in a double "superior".
Large room on the second floor with a double bed and even an extra cot. French doors opening onto a small balcony and directly overlooking the harbor, opposite the statue of the Moors.
Bathroom with shower a little dark, but equally with French doors.
The only sore note is the low-quality and old-fashioned furniture, as well as the furniture in the lobby.
Very efficient and kind staff. We had liked it so on the return of a tour to Lucca we decided to spend another night in a standard and ended up on the third floor, equally with port view, but very small room, bathroom without window, water leakage on the floor and problems with electricity that went out three times. Furniture of even lower quality.
Given the great location, with a renovation it would be a fantastic hotel, so it is little more than a three star.

never again
Have used this hotel before for business it was ok but not special, I booked two nights. I needed to change booking up by two days as plans outside my control changed at short notice, even though i was prepared to take a Higher costing room they refused to change booking. And I was forced to cancel booking and lost the the full 2 days booking fee. Based on this and the very unfriendly person on the telephone. I will never stay here again and will advise my collegues never to take this hotel when in Liverno on business.

Friendly but unprepared staff, to say the least ..
Before booking on Booking we had called the structure, the presso was 20 euros higher and for the little dog they had asked 15 € but also 10 €. Upon arrival we were informed that payment was to be paid the next day. In plain sight there was a sign that read, 10% discount on the restaurant menu. We opted for dinner at the restaurant and the maitre d', very nice, from reception accompanied us to the table. We ordered two first and two second courses. One of the two seconds arrived incorrectly. We paid 103 € rounded up to 100 € . Then we realized there was no discount. The next day we went to reception to pay for the room and reported the error. The two embarrassed employees proposed us for the mistake of 7 € to give as compensation two bottles of 50 cl of water. I pointed out that two bottles of water do not cost 7 €. At this point, since the room had been paid for by Booking, they instantly jammed, and then took the money and handed it over. As we left they pointed out that we had not paid for the dog, the receptionist lady almost had an orgasm. I promptly paid, the mistake however was the structure. Obviously for the 6 kg dog, you pay the entrance to the structure, because services in Italy do not exist, not even the water bowl. Now I say a little shame no!? I have to point out in spite of myself that for some years the word CLIENT, they have turned it into chicken. If the owner, who was in the room when we had dinner, has a chance to read, I think half the employees should be fired or at least re-trained.
On a positive note, the restaurant eats well, the structure is worth from but very dated.
BOOKIIIING! Animal prices should be highlighted, you go from 10 € to 50 € as if nothing had happened.

La sua recensione si commenta da sola, per i toni e le espressioni usate.
Tra l'altro lo afferma anche lei, vi siete accorti del mancato sconto subito
e non l'avete fatto presente immediatamente, ma il giorno dopo.
Resta da capire il perché.
Sul resto preferiamo non esprimerci, da parte nostra abbiamo solo svolto il nostro lavoro.

Hotel was in a great location with easy access to public transport, first night I arrived didnt get a nice welcome from the guy who was at the reception but the other ladies at the desk were smiling and welcoming in the following days.
The room was clean and cleaned everyday from what i observe. I was disapppointed that the room did not have a kettle and tea bags, I had to ask to get a kettle the 2nd day and tea bags were only given that day and the following day out of the 6 days i stayed there. No iron was in the room either. I was also very disappointed that there wasn't any full lenght mirror in the room which made it difficult to check my appearance before heading out, so had to rely on my phone camera and the elevator mirror while going out to check my attire for the day. The room was very small overall, l didnt have much space to move between the window and bed or the chair and table to bed. Area was safe and had the sea front to sit and relax and watch the sunset. I would recommend for location and cleanliness.
