Porta-WOW
Just returned from a week stay at Portakal and can’t wait to get back.
We are a family of 8, 6 adults, 2 children under 12 and stayed in the last week of summer term.
We read previous reviews and were excited to see what the place had on offer, and we were not disappointed.
From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel at home and there was a sense of familiarity despite the fact this was our first time to Dalyan.
The rooms are spotless, spacious and welcoming with a lovely décor. The housekeeping staff are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble (we asked for an extra blanket as I get chilly even in 37-degree heat!). My husband and I had a ground floor room with terrace which is just perfect, plus it’s a hop, skip and a jump to the breakfast room, pool and bar . The kids interconnecting room was brilliant and there was so much space.
We were concerned that being summer holidays that the pool would be busy, but there were plenty of beds and the gardens were always a quiet if you want to escape it all.
Breakfast is served from 8am to 10pm and we found that around 8:30 was a lovely time to go and fill up. Everyone just helps themselves and its so tranquil you can sit peacefully and contemplate the day ahead. The waiting staff work really hard and always have a smile on their face.
We spent much of our time around the pool, with the exception of a few days out to Turtle Beach via the water taxi that you book at reception and pick up at the hotel’s jetty. We also hired a private boat locally (absolutely smashing day and great value – Thanks Ege).
The bar staff were absolutely lovely guys. They work so hard and make everyone feel special. Make sure you get at least one long island iced tea cocktail when you are there – it will knock your socks off!
Portakal is exceptionally good value for money and exceeded our expectations. With two young ones in tow, we could only go in Summer Holidays, however, the holiday itself and the hotel prices are really fair, and we had the most amazing time.

14 days in the wonderful Dalyan
This is our 3rd stay in this wonderful hotel.Hotel is only small with a lovely pool and garden area. A poolside bar where the main man Ramazan works ,he makes some great cocktails and he’s not to bad at card tricks.He will chat away to the customers all evening.Being a small family run hotel the owners are always on hand keeping your stay a very pleasant one. The rooms are very clean and spacious.you can have breakfast outside or in the dining area inside if you prefer the coffee is particularly good .we loved it again so have already booked to come back in September.

Excellent Hotel
A beautiful hotel in an idyllic location. Exceptionally clean,wonderful staff the owners are amazing and DAVE the barman is the best in Turkey. We have stayed multiple times and we will definitely return.

Portakal Hotel. Dalyan
This was a return visit for us. We were so happy to be going back to a place where you are welcomed and the staff will bend over backwards to accommodate. The rooms are very clean and functional and the staff are fantastic. Especially DAVE the local bar man. A+++. A quiet relaxing place...

Very surprised not very busy here, beautiful scenery and picturesque.
Clean hotel shame they don't offer evening food
Barman Rams made the best cocktails! He had a very warm and friendly presence- don't forget to ask him to show a magic trick he's very good!
This is our second visit to this hotel and they even remembered us which made us feel like family
