With the dog in nature
The bed was fantastic and was lovely. We did have problems with the hot water from the shower, which would not turn on. Luckily, a handyman came along right away. He explained that the problem is more common due to scale in the water. They plan to place a filter at the source in the future so that all the cottages have lime-free water, but that had not happened at this time.
Please note: in this cottage there is no dishwasher, and no dish soap, so you must bring your own. There are no scissors and you still need to cut open packaging. There was also only half a toilet roll, and no extra provided. The trash cans are also very small and quickly full. So definitely bring extra dirt bags.
The golf carts in the park are not free, but there is a shuttle bus that will take you to a point close to your house.
We had planned to eat at restaurant La Maison for New Year's, but unfortunately our dog was not welcome there. We therefore chose takeaway, but this was a huge setback. For €90 per person we got seafood in aluminum foil that really didn't taste good. The meat dish consisted of half a piece of meat in puff pastry, which was already sticky and unappetizing. Dessert – three flavors of chocolate – turned out to be a small roll reminiscent of age-old chocolate spread. I would advise everyone to bring their own food, because the grocery at the park also offers little choice and charges high prices. For example: €18 for a simple bottle of red wine.
Breakfast costs €13 per person, but is limited and the same every day: some slices of cheese and ham, jam, chocolate spread and honey in small disposable jars, and half a French bread with a croissant. You'll get a cup of coffee with it.
The park is surrounded by nature, which is ideal for rest and walks. Unfortunately, employees could not recommend walking routes from the park. There was a map, but for the starting point of the walks you had to go by car.
Despite these negatives, we enjoyed being together with our dog in the wild. That's what we came for in the end: to walk, relax and enjoy the silence.

Nice getaway but needs some TLC
The location is convenient too, with large supermarkets like Intermarché and Delhaize just a 5-minute drive away. We also took the opportunity to visit Lille (30 minutes away) and Tournai (15 minutes), both of which were lovely day trips. The on-site swimming pools were enjoyable, with a paddling area for kids and slightly warmer water, although the pools are deeper than we’re used to in the UK 1.4-2.05m
The Treehouse itself was cozy and warm, perfect for a festive stay. The heaters worked well, and we loved the option of a log fireplace (logs were €15). However, the balcony terrace wasn’t usable due to slippery leaves, which was a bit of a shame. The park is quite large, and since we were staying toward the back, we hired a cart (€50/day) to get around. It turned out to be a lot of fun for the whole family.
We read the reviews and went anyways! We don’t regret but to make this review honest there were a few issues during our stay. The sauna didn’t heat up past 33degress Celsius , the water in the house wasn’t hot, and the microwave had a tricky door. We ended up showering at the pool, which wasn’t ideal as the water there wasn’t particularly warm either. While these inconveniences were frustrating, especially over Christmas, the staff were understanding and provided a discount on the cart rental as compensation.
Overall, despite a few setbacks, we had an enjoyable and memorable holiday. It’s a charming place for a family break with plenty to do, and the setting really made it special.
