Dream weekend with guaranteed relaxation
We had a wonderful, relaxed weekend with lots of amenities, a great team and a dream location. There are also plenty of excursion options in the area and thanks to the Summer Card, some are even free or discounted.
We can absolutely recommend the Zaglgut and would love to come back.

An absolute failure
Unfortunately, it's an absolute failure.
We stayed 2 nights at Zaglgut and our experience was very bad. We went home - shaken, scared and lighter by so much money, which has absolutely no relation to what we experienced here.
Our horror weekend began with the encounter of the owner who screamed at me for no reason because my dog walked around the house without a lead. I was so frightened that I couldn’t say anything about the aggressive behaviour with which the Owner of the Zaglgut met me. My husband heard the screaming and came out.
When I then asked for an apology when I checked out, the lady at the reception said that I was justified in being shouted at. She would have talked to her boss in advance and it would be our own fault because we had our dog with us.
Short on the dog: We paid 50€ per night for the dog, called in advance and asked if a dog is allowed. There was no blanket, no bowls or dog food.
That was not all: the entire staff treated us badly from the beginning because of the dog, although we paid for the dog!! And even accused us of behaving wrongly, even though we didn't start a single conflict and even asked kindly for Help center and clarification when checking out. I didn't get mad until I was told to my face that I - O-tone - was my own fault for being shouted at.
I feel threatened as a woman.
Furthermore, the houses are not chalets, but simple houses built on the mountain:
The rooms do not have 10 sqm 2 and the equipment is average. My impression is that they want to make a lot of money here as the area is visited by many Arabs but do not want to provide service. Lots of money - little effort.
And last but not least, we had a troupe of drunk boys in the next house drinking on the terrace in the hot top at 2:30 - 8:30 at night. I couldn't sleep nor did they stop. I told the reception that and the reaction was that this very group were served alcohol even further by the pool until we left. Nobody did anything about it. And so I come to the conclusion that the clientele addressed here must be absolutely undemanding. Alcohol and mountains, you don't need to come here for recreation, the houses are far too close to each other and privacy you have zero.
The matter with the Owner is so serious for me that I now seek legal advice on it.

Pleasure
Had a nice time with friends. Nice area for skiing and apres ski. Highly recommended. Everything neatly arranged and clean. You can store things. Overall a very nice experience with the hotel, the people and how it is all arranged for you.

Winter holiday in Kaprun
This is our first time at Zaglgut and we are absolutely delighted. A very nice, young, dynamic team (from the head chef, service, reception), as well as the great massage.
We got an upgrade because it was my husband's birthday the next day.
We have the wellness area almost to ourselves because we are here in the shoulder season.
Today we wanted to go to the sauna a little earlier, and it was turned on for us earlier, without any ifs or buts. We call this very flexible.

Great luxury chalet
Lovely little hotel on the hill overlooking Kaprun - very nice modern design, but respectful of the location and traditions, nice service, lovely breakfast, comfortable rooms, and a nice spa. When there is enough snow, it's one of the few places with ski in / ski out.
