Hidden Gem
This is one of the best nights stay we had. We booked a last minute baby moon as it was so close to Dublin. I had mentioned to the hotel it was my partners birthday and they had a little dessert plate in the room.
There was so many little touches in the room like chocolates and crisps.
The Deck Spa experience was such a chill vibe
The food was 5 stars and probably the best steak I have ever had.
All staff were extremely helpful and friendly but one staff member Noel went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be.
We both would highly recommend this hotel or if passing stop for the food and you won't be disappointed.
We both can't wait to book again and have already recommend med to friends.

Amazing staff and Delicious Food
We went for hour date night At Club. We can say it was more than the food and drinks (which are amazing), I liked how the staff treated their customers they gave some amazing recommendations, even when the restaurant was pretty full for Monday Night. If you're searching for a reasonably priced place with good-quality food, you'll love it. Even the portion size is bigger, so you do not have to worry about ordering another dish. Defiantly we will be back again. Thanks The Club at Goffs

Awful Experience
Unfortunately not a positive review, we decided to stay local and have Sunday dinner at the Club despite having been previously disappointed we thought we'd try again.
Met with the most unwelcome manager and his body language and facial expressions spoke volumes when we requested a table for three 'ARE YOU A RESIDENT HAVE YOU A BOOKING' and me looking around an empty restaurant. He pointed to the table and put down a menu and uttered something about the menus. We sat down and at this stage I wanted to leave but my husband persuaded me to hang fire. We waited ten minutes and not one member of staff approached to offer to take a drinks order or enquire if we wanted some water for the table. Menu was extremely limited and over priced. We took leave of the table and went up to Sindons in Palmerstown House and were greeted warmly into a lovely full restaurant with a buzzing athmosphere and fab menu. UP YOUR GAME THE CLUB AT GOFFS

A beautiful hotel with lovely staff
The hotel room and grounds are beautiful and our 2nd floor deluxe room was spacious with a balcony that had a table and chairs outside as well as inside, so you could sit and eat. The reception and other staff were friendly, helpful and willing to offer suggestions of things to do that we actually did and enjoyed, particularly Fiona and Liam. In fact all the staff were lovely.
My two areas of less favourable feedback relate firstly to the food as breakfast was inflexible to the extent you could get a scrambled egg (which was actually not very nice and unlike scrambled eggs I've had before) but an omelette was a no no - why)!! One waitress said you could select what you want, another said, choose from the menu! Other meal options were fine with us, and our couple of afternoon/evening meals were much better but sometimes not as hot as they should have been. Also helpful if staff could be consistent about timings as turned away from breakfast when we arrived at 10:40 when published timings said it was available until 11. Whilst we really appreciated the Chef agreeing to remedy this with a room service breakfast, it was embarrassing and avoidable. We were subsequently told it was wrong timings on our TV but this was reflected in the menus as well so we were not mistakenbut received no apology.
Finally, offering massage at the weekend only was extremely disappointing so we didn't bother with the spa at all.
Other than the couple of concerns, we loved our stay.

Superb room, food and service: this will be my hotel of choice next time I'm in this area
I had no particular expectations, as I had not read any reviews before my arrival (I was booked for two nights on a work trip) and was completely delighted by this gem of a modern hotel.
The bedroom and bathroom were large and well appointed with lovely linens, an incredibly comfortable bed and pillows, stylish but solid-feeling furniture, and well considered extra touches like the complimentary bag of crisps, plenty of hanging space, a decent-sized safe, and the bathroom vanity kit. The decor has arty nods to the horsey environs without, praise be, any fake Georgian prints or horseshoes or such nonsense.
As to the food... Over the years I have come to expect disappointment at hotel restaurants, especially as a coeliac when often I have a choice of only one or two dishes, but I was really wowed by the Goffs restaurant. The quality of the food was such that I were local I would go there as a destination restaurant. Looking through the glass wall of the kitchen I saw order, calmness and organisation, and this was reflected in the beautifully presented and perfectly cooked food. FYI I had chicken liver parfait, the sea bream and a pavlova. I rarely eat desserts but after the first two lovely courses I decided it would be a wasted opportunity not to!
The service was exemplary too, from the friendly welcome at reception (complete with a glass of 0% prosecco) to the restaurant waiting staff for whom nothing was too much trouble, including me being fussy about how I like my toast. (Sorry!)
Next time my husband are in Ireland for leisure I will be going back to Goffs as it was such a pleasurable experience and extremely good value for the quality of stay.
