Wonderful experience in Volterra

Fantastic experience for New Year. Very kind staff, very spacious and comfortable room, with access to the bathroom also with pram, large balcony overlooking nature.
Paid breakfast (both with the prices of the bar and buffet) in the structure or in the adjacent one: delicious.

Hotel in the countryside, but not far from the center. Breakfast to review...

I stayed one night in this hotel, following a change of room from the Chiostro delle Monache hotel due to a booking mishap by my group, which was managed as best as possible by the reception staff, whom I thank for their courtesy.
This property certainly has some strengths, such as the quiet and peaceful location immersed in the Tuscan countryside, but which still allows you to reach the center of Volterra on foot, unless you have some mobility difficulties. Excellent availability of indoor parking.
The rooms are very spacious for the 3 star category, equipped with air conditioning, minibar and comfortable beds (the mattresses are a bit stiff, but I found them comfortable). Cleanliness is fully adequate and soundproofing of the rooms acceptable. The only negative element of our accommodation was represented by the shower that, although neither I nor my partner people of "big size" I found really small and cramped, moreover the siphon was partly clogged by limestone and not adjustable, so washing was a bit uncomfortable.
Of the breakfast I must say I only enjoyed the pleasant outdoor garden, because the dishes are of modest quality and practically all packaged. Totally absent fresh fruit, but there is only fruit salad in syrup. The "savoury" proposal is almost completely missing: only one type of cheese and one type of cold cuts not typical are available, moreover the scrambled eggs looked anything but inviting, honestly they did not look fresh at all.
Breakfast hours are limited from 7.30am to 9.30am and for a hotel of this category I would have expected it to be a little more extensive.
The value for money is still quite favorable, especially if you book triple or quadruple rooms.
The structure certainly has potential and with a few more precautions (see shower maintenance and breakfast management) could be a good choice.

Hotel about 1.2km from the beginning of the historic center of Volterra, but easily accessible thanks to a staircase. Clean rooms, friendly staff and simple but good breakfast. Large parking lot

Pleasant stay

I stayed with my family in Volterra for the medieval festival and stayed in this hotel. First of all I have to say that the staff who work there is very helpful, kind and welcoming they booked us tickets for the party, booked the restaurant for the evening. Very spacious and spacious room, clean and comfortable. If I really have to find some fault: the fridge in the room not working and breakfast a bit 'miserable. Ample parking and convenient to get to the center both on foot and with the Shuttle Service. Recommended
