A corner of paradise just outside Assisi

A perfect summer escape just outside Assisi. The peaceful setting and cooler air offered a welcome break from the heat, while the stunning view across the valley made every moment feel special. Our host was exceptionally attentive and welcoming, always making sure we had everything we needed. Each morning began with an amazing homemade breakfast, freshly prepared with care and delicious local ingredients. A warm, relaxing stay in a beautiful location - we would gladly return.

Worst experience ever had

I really wouldn't know where to start to express my contempt; I'll just say that I had booked for 5 nights and I left after only one. Let me put things in order: dirty house with spider webs and even a scorpion (see photo), broken fridge with a corresponding puddle of ice that blocked the freezer from closing (according to the owner, it had just broken and they were waiting for the spare part already ordered, too bad that they said the same thing in response to a negative review received dated November 2025, which confirms their dishonesty), towels with holes, dead insects scattered almost everywhere, stained blankets, house without air conditioning (as per description) except that the owner's daughter at the time of booking had said that it wasn't needed and that you needed a blanket at night (at 1:30 AM it was still 86 degrees inside the house, so they are also deeply dishonest).

Anche per noi è stata un'esperienza negativa perché, un cliente che ancora non è entrata nell'appartamento e già fa domande strane (Ma questa casa è senza tetto?!) ci ha subito capire con chi avevamo a che fare. La conferma l'abbiamo avuta dal fatto che, nell'estate più calda della storia degli ultimi 20 anni anche con morti, c'è qualcuno, lei, che mette in dubbio una certezza: da noi nella normalità non ci vuole l'area condizionata ma forse lei, è l'unico a non essersi accorto che sia difronte ad una stagione anomala. Probabilmente giornali, tv e altri mezzi di comunicazione le sono estranei. Se poi uno, di notte quando le temperature si abbassano e basta aprire le finestre, tanto ci sono le zanzariere, per far entrare un po' di aria fresca, chiude tutto, allora si spiega perché ha sentito caldo e soprattutto che tipo di cliente è.

Where Time Finds Space to Live

The Terrace of Subasio is an enchanted place, immersed in the silence of Mount Subasio. A breathtaking view frames awakenings accompanied by the crowing of the rooster, while the peacocks walk freely all around. The structure, rural and ancient, is authentic and deeply welcoming and functional especially for large families two adults three children (13-11-5 years). Great value for money. Functional kitchen with everything you need for a Family of 5. We cooked every day. Well also the bathroom with large shower
What makes the experience even more valuable is the human aspect: Marisa and Bruno with their daughter Marina, offer exquisite hospitality, made of attention, warmth and a welcome with a unique taste. In addition to friendliness, cake, handmade cookies are exceptional.
Located in Costa di Trex, about 40 minutes walk from Assisi, the property is surrounded by greenery and a context rich in history. Nearby are the remains of the ancient Roman aqueduct of Sanguinone, now visible only in a few walls, but still full of memory.
Informing me of the area, according to tradition and Franciscan routes, St. Francis, sick and weakened after receiving the Stigmata on Mount Verna in 1224, crossed the Costa di Trex area on his return journey to Assisi. A mountain path that included stages such as Bagnara, Rocca di Postignano, Satriano and precisely Costa di Trex, today recalled by historical trails and dedicated events.

A weekend in nature

We stayed at this property for the extension of St. Francis.
The choice of location allowed us to be a few minutes drive from Assisi, but with the tranquility of nature.
The mini apartment we were assigned had everything we needed, including the kitchen. Clean air in a familiar setting. Recommended
