The 'hostelry' that makes Fawlty Towers seem paradise!

Make absolutely sure to give this place a wide berth! We were a group of ten long-distance hikers passing in the middle of a long, pretty wet day. So we were disappointed to find nearby Cafe´Nicklis closed. That is why we ended up in this dreadful dump to experience the most unbelievable rip-off ever, dished up by the most incredibly rude proprietor - or was he? He charged €51 in the end for a meagre portion of the (apparently notorious) lamb - the only choice! - a salad and a beer!
Recommendation: Go to the 'Haus der Nachhaltigkeit' (modern exhibition space on sustainability) and grab something from their huge choice of regional products!

Nepp 1000%
Bad coffee, sausage and rolls inedible. After a bite, the sausage is discarded and the coffee is simply ignored. Dear bikers....just nap and rip. Unfortunately, the store is well located and therefore the owner uses it 100%. Better donate the money to the flood victims on the Ahr because then it is well invested. We'll never visit this nub shop again. WORD OF HONOR

Absolute rip-off

There were two lunches and we paid for it with 115 €. There were no prizes. There was no receipt just a handwritten note where the price was written. I think the other reviews sounded similar, so absolutely avoid.

Scam!!

To flee!! No card! As a starter mini salad without bread! Dish 2 small pieces of rabbit with 4 beans and a piece of broccoli and 2 potatoes! 2 glasses of water and 2 coffees for a total of 104€! Invoice written on a simple piece of paper!! Big scam

Buyer beware.

Food actually was good. We had a salad, vegetable soup and a delicious lamb dish which our server seemed to highly recommend. He spoke little English. He seemed very was very friendly. We were a bit suspicious because there was no menu. He scribbled our order on some scratch paper.
We mistakenly did not ask for the price or if we could pay by credit card.
We were surprised by a bill of 177Euro for 3 people. The price seemed unreasonable high. He only took cash. For us this was case of travelers remorse. We learned from this experience, and make sure you know the price before ordering your food.
