Dynamic nature and poetic experience in the cozy inn

You can see the grand scenery in front of Iseebisō.
Mt. Kaimon stands far away in the ocean. The black rocks prevent rough waves. Actually they are not rocks but lavas which were made when Mt. Kaimon was an active volcano. I walked toward the mountain through the lava’s narrow path…it’s a dynamic natural and poetic experience we cannot have in the daily life.
In Edo period, Tadataka Inō who surveyed all over Japan and made the first Japanese map visited here was surprised with this beautiful scenery and sent a compliment. And there is another historical spot in the same city. It’s Bonotsu where Japanese painter Hiroshige painted “Two sward rocks”. Surprisingly French Impressionist Monet copied it and created the different oil painting.
However this area is too far away from the airport to visit easily . So tourists are few actually. But it’s also the reason of my recommendation☺️ if you are a natural lover and poetic person who prefer calmness.

No enthusiasm at all

[Check-in date: March 2020] The location is very close to the seaside. Free parking is provided. The room is slightly small and the decoration is old but it is still clean. The bathhouse is not big. Fortunately, there were not many guests that day. The food is average but the portion is sufficient. Although there were only two groups of guests in the whole store on the day of check-in, the performance of the front desk and catering services was really not enough, and there was no enthusiasm at all (if possible, there was no service). After the meal, I went to the lobby to select souvenirs and then went to the front desk to pay. The waiter showed no expression. I am very reluctant to serve you, and my attitude is very bad. It is even worse than the average cheap hotel. It's a shame! ! I hope that the waiter has now resigned and will not affect tourists' impression of Japanese hot spring hotels' always excellent service.

A family hotel far away by the ocean with Good food, service and a sea- horse aquarium and beautiful scenery. If you go by train 2 hours from Kagashima departure 12:05- inform hotel to come pick you up from mini-size station without cabs or staff or just walk south mostly downhills:)
The roms have bath and toilet but enjoy the big bath Similar to the real hotsprings.
Swim on the Beach or collect shells.

an excellent address ....

I came to this restaurant for lunch and was met at the railway station by Kaname who kindly drove me to the restaurant. The vue is magnificient on the sea front set in a lovely quiet shaded area from all the trees. After some advise from Kaname I chose the baked fresh lobster with fresh vegetables....a real plaisir !
