Fantatic holiday

A fantastic place, good service, quiet and comfortable place to stay for 14 days on holiday. A fantastic service that gave us a fantastic holiday on Samos. Highly recommended, both for singles and families. Thanks to manger and mother at the pool bar. You are amazing ❤️❤️

Pretending to be something it is not

I paid for a premium room, which I didn't feel I got. The bathroom was microscopic with very little space. There was nowhere to hang the towel. Throwing out a prehistoric jacuzzi to put in a shower cabinet is my suggestion. The short wall of the bath made the whole bathroom was totally wet after a shower. Free wifi was a joke, it just didn’t work, which was very frustrating. Ended up using only mobile networks, which also had poor coverage. Be sure to lock the network to one from a Greek mobile company, as the Turkish network seems stronger, that then does not apply Roam like Home because Turkey is not a member of the EU. Talked to the operator that the WiFi did not work several times but nothing got better. So here they really have to do something to make it work. This hotel should have 4 stars, which it definitely does not deserve. Breakfast was not the best, boring cheap order that you got tired of after the second day. The bread was basically just toast, as they did not take care to fill with proper bread you could cut yourself. No air conditioning in the dining room that made it very hot even for breakfast. The beds in the room were totally ok, and the air conditioning worked fine. Was one couple of times I experienced that the fuse went, but then it was just to tilt the switch up again. The hotel is quite deserted, so you have to take a taxi into the city, which costs 8 euros each way. There is a restaurant/café on the beach that serves perfectly fine food, when they close around noon. 20.00. The sunbeds on the beach cost 5 euros, but you must be out early to get to bed, as it gets fast full. It is quite steep hill down to the beach, about 400 m to walk, that it can be a challenge for older people to climb again after a lazy day on the beach.

Take it easy at the pool or beach OR go into town for more great food

We had a wonderful stay at the Princessa! Staff were very kind and did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. Breakfast buffet was awesome, the pool a great place to cool off after a morning of touristy things in Pythagorion. There were days that we just hung around the resort with its beachfront, pool bar and room service. The hotel that shares the cove's beachfront also has a restaurant so you needn't leave to enjoy pool/beachside meals.
We chose to walk into town (all downhill) but took an 8 euro taxi back in the hotter part of the day or at night. The town has fantastic harborside restaurants, tourist shopping and gelato. The statue of Pythagoras is iconic and give a great picture of the harbor district.

Clean & well-maintained hotel with a nice pool area and fantastic views

We visited Samos for the first time after traveling around most of Greece. Our expectations were that Samos would be very touristy and the hotel standard. Everything was better than expected.
We were a family of 14 people.
The hotel as a whole: Very well maintained, looks new. Fantastically clean and tidy everywhere. Beautiful view regardless of where you are in the hotel. The internet is not super good - best by the pool.
The staff: You have to remember that you are in another country and therefore cannot expect the people to behave like at home. The staff at the hotel were Greek and they can generally seem a bit "sour" or reserved, but once you start talking to them and asking about things, you see their true nature. They love their country and want to share, so please ask. At the hotel, we experienced a service beyond the normal. They were genuinely interested in our well-being and very accommodating. One fell ill and they brought food to the room as well as medicine and asked us several times.
One day at the pool they forgot our order due to busyness and therefore gave free beer as an excuse.
We asked for some fruit by the pool, which was not on the menu, and they accommodated that as well.
The rooms: We stayed in 2-person and 3-person rooms respectively. The double rooms are completely normal standard sizes. The rooms with an extra bed are different. We got both one that was larger and very nice for 3 people, but also a normal double room with an extra bed. It was a bit cramped, but we are not in the room very much when we are on holiday, so it worked fine.
The beds are of different hardness and I think it is a matter of taste whether you like one or the other. the same applies to the head pillows, but it seems to be expected abroad. The bed was a little extra hard, but we asked for an extra mattress topper and we got it right away, so it was fine.
There is a fridge with water on arrival, safe, PC and some cupboard space/storage
Beach/Pool area:
The pool and area were very clean and tidy. Nice pool cafe with a small selection of salad and sandwiches. Possibility of many different beverages. The pool is not heated so a little on the cool side.
Perfect little beach with stones so you don't get a lot of sand. Bring swimming shoes as there are large stones in the wading in some places. Good opportunity to snorkel and see many different fish and squid. The hotel's guests belong at one end of the beach, where you can hire deckchairs for 3 euros per person. day. In the middle of the beach there is a restaurant that belongs to another hotel, but you are welcome to use it. Delicious food and varied menu.
The city:
It costs approx. 8 euros to take a taxi to Pythagoras. You can walk, but the road is busy and without a pavement in several places. Order a taxi at reception and they will come right away. The town is really nice, down to and less touristy than many other Greek towns. The shops are fun and diverse and their souvenir shops are more stylish than other places.
All in all, a lovely hotel in a beautiful city that we will definitely visit again.

Very good location
