A view that can't be beaten

This hotel feels a little remote when you're first trying to find it, but it is well worth the effort; the rooms are fabulous, the host is everything you could wish for (helpful, generous and anxious to make your stay perfect) and the setting is wonderful. We stayed in Marechaude with views into the valley and access to the terrace; you can lie in bed and be drawn to the changing sky. Start your day with the great breakfast and then spend the rest in the local vineyards or further afield; Beaune and Dijon are easy day trips. There are numerous nearby restaurants for dinner, or book a cheese / charcuterie / wine platter to eat in.
It's no surprise to find this hotel booked well in advance; we'll be back

Extremely poor

We had booked and paid for a room. Unfortunately I had to have an operation for a cancer problem and we were unable to travel. I asked if we could defer the booking until April next year. I did not ask for a refund and I offered to pay the extra if prices increased. Initially he refused to answer my email and when I sent a further message I received a very curt reply of no.
I have never come across a less understanding proprietor.
I agree that in law he was within his rights to take our money but he was totally without any courtesy or understanding.
Be careful when you book and pay that you don’t have to cancel. There are plenty of other places that are more considerate

Je vous remercie pour votre témoignage cependant celui-ci est incomplet. Le report que vous me demandiez était déjà le report d’un report. Je pense avoir fait preuve de compréhension lorsque j’ai accepté, moins de 24 heures avant votre arrivée, de reporter une nuitée en raison des problèmes que vous rencontriez au mois d'Août, lors de votre retour de Sardaigne. Pour des raisons toutes aussi personnelles que les vôtres, je ne serai ouvert qu’un très petit nombre de nuits l’année prochaine, je ne peux donc m’engager à un report qui ne pourra être satisfait. Soucieux de trouver une solution et vu votre contexte médical, je vous ai proposé, dans un premier temps, de vous fournir assistance afin que vous obteniez remboursement auprès de l’assurance annulation de votre carte de crédit. Proposition que vous avez rejetée. Malgré toute la compassion que j’ai pour votre situation, je ne peux me substituer aux compagnies d’assurance. Je propose une annulation sans frais jusqu'à 5 jours avant l’arrivée sur simple appel ou mail. Au-delà, je fais toujours preuve de compréhension comme ce fut votre cas initialement. Une assurance annulation est également proposée au moment de la réservation sur mon site.

A beautiful house in the most idyllic setting

The beautiful house is set at a high vantage point and is in an idyllic and peaceful setting. The host is most gracious and the house is finished to an exemplary standard. It could be a show house. The village is a 15 minute walk away but be mindful the hills can be steep when walking back. The beds are big and comfortable. The linen and toiletries are high quality. The living room feels like a home. There is a patio at the back overlooking the hills.

Very nice place to discover the rocks of Vergisson and Solutré! Exceptional panorama in the heart of the vineyards, magnificent color schemes in autumn! Very nice room, very comfortable bedding, extra breakfast and warm and attentive welcome

Beautiful hillside house with 180 degree views of solute rock and vergisson rock (more beautiful from our point of view).
Quiet. Nice room with bedding ok. Breakfast very good. And welcome to the top of our host very helpful.
