Avoid at all costs

Avoid at all costs! Very disappointed with our stay from July 10 to July 11! Having come 4 years ago, it was the little paradise of Cantal! Today, it is a disaster. Having already booked, we had not looked at the reviews, big mistake! The hotel is deteriorating! No message to inform us that there was no pool again this year, the disappointment upon arriving... empty pool and under construction wide open, very dangerous for my 2-year-old boy!! Tools everywhere, wooden planks! Upon arrival at 5:30 PM we were supposed to receive a text or WhatsApp with all the booking info, we did not receive it, so we called because no one was available at the hotel. We had booked a garden-view room with a bathtub! We got a road-view room with a shower (fortunately, the gentleman on the phone had us change rooms) I won't even mention the catastrophic state of the rooms and bathroom, limescale, hair, dust, trash can not emptied and so on. In the morning, it is written breakfast included in the room booking starting at 7:30 AM, arrived at 8:30 AM, no one... I tried contacting a lady again with a number provided "sorry I don't work here anymore" GREAT fortunately a Carrefour Contact nearby, we had breakfast in the garden! Then at 9 AM a lady comes to open, there is no bread, no pastries, none of that... so afraid of catching a disease I forbade my children from touching it (how long had the cereal been open??) The bowls are disgusting!!!!) And at 9:30 AM, a gentleman arrives and tells us, "The chocolate croissants are baking!"
Hotel to avoid, definitely do not go there!!!

Run away is a scam

Run away from this hotel, nothing is compliant.
24/7 reception: but the keys must be in the right place. No one to find them. We've opened all the caches.
Room: very poorly maintained, smells bonus.
Meals 24/24 do not take into account there is nothing available. We arrived at 10:00. Finding a restaurant open at this time is a miracle. That's not all yet.
Breakfast: a biscotte, sorry a Swedish bread, a lump of butter that hangs out in the fridge but that sweet, the savory is barred like all pastries. Best, a can of milk opened with scissors (not closed so) that hangs out next to the butter. Since when? You need to order cold meats in advance.
The pool which is a pond.
There'd be other things, but we're not leaving the drive.
Let's end with our complaint sent to the owners that didn't generate any reaction, many bad times: We were told that they could not change the booking sites (swimming pool, meals etc...) while the information was sent to us by our mobile.

Bof but practical

We have been going down there for a few years, for a night stop on the road to the holidays and unfortunately every year we see the general deterioration of this hotel which has just reached a degree of disorganization and great let go quite important... for a price that increases. The novelty this year is the closure of the pretty pool left abandoned which was the main reason for our stop.
Fortunately Massiac has a very nice municipal pool (access by car a few minutes) and we spent a nice afternoon anyway.
For the rooms, they are old but it is not disturbing for 1 night.
The meal trays in the vending machine have also been stopped but Massiac offers some good restaurants within walking distance.
The (Welcoming) staff is friendly but can do little because owners are absent.
Parking in the inner courtyard very convenient.

To avoid

When we arrived, we were not expected. The very professional receptionist had to call the reservation center so we could get the key to our room. We had booked a dinner that had not been taken into account and thankfully our card debit did not work otherwise we would have paid for a Service that did not exist. We stayed two, days the room was not made, as the information had not been passed on and moreover there were no pillowcases for the two extra. To pay, the receptionist had to call the central office to do this operation. Ah, I forgot we came back after the entrance closed and the exchange had not sent us the entrance code, thanks to other occupants who opened us. The employees present were very understanding and very available but what to do with a centralized system that does not work and also with a shortage of staff. The only answer we had with the reservation center is that it is difficult to recruit. To avoid

Run away!!

From booking to claim, everything is impersonal and sorely lacks humanity!
Hotel stage on the way to our holiday... One of the worst I've ever been given! When we booked, the site says there is a pool and there is clearly a lie. As soon as we arrive we notice a "jungle" and the absence of water in the pool, it starts badly...
The hotel announces a secure and autonomous arrival (we received the Whatsapp message) but the door is wide open and a person (man) is present at Welcoming and receives us, gives us our keys and general directions.
We go up to our room and there it is absolutely not what we booked (the room is old, dusty and carpeted), view on the site.
We therefore complain to the "reception" about the pool and the room and the gentleman replies "I see with the boss I keep you informed". We raised several times and at the time of departure still nothing!
The pompom is the state of the premises, the lack of professionalism (sheets that hang out in the corridors, open rooms where it looks like a tornado has passed...) and the absence of a person in charge worthy of the name!
Breakfast is okay but very limited; to have salt you have to pay extra.
We filed a complaint (via WhatsApp, then the website) and it went unanswered. It took two calls for my request to be taken "seriously" (if I may say so)... the person in charge being more than unpleasant, dishonest and in very bad faith (it would almost be my fault if I had a bad room and there was no pool)!
It's all a lie. The hotel is under construction and only a handful of rooms were renovated, it wasn't written anywhere, that's the truth!
