Excellent, with character

The place is lovely, each room named after jazz greats. The owner is the chef (we think) Eric, a wonderfully welcoming man. My wife is vegan, no problem, because he is a master chef... Honestly the best vegetarian meal ever in France. His non veg was superb, I had the veal, so good. The friendliness just made this a great stay. The town is not one to visit, but it is a great base to explore many nearby stunning places. Highly recommended. We'd come back for the food, but we've already been thinking about taking Eric with us on holiday just to cook!

Cozy with family atmosphere

I stayed during Rock in Opposition event with friends. It's not expensive and the owners are very kind and welcoming. They are excellent cooks, too, with a hearty breakfast. I wold stay again. Very nice

Wonderful accommodations and amazing breakfast

I came here for a concert with a friend in September and had no idea where I should stay as the accommodations at the camp grounds were fully booked. What a pleasant surprise La Tour de Ciron was!! The staff was amazing, making us an early breakfast every morning before driving us 20 minutes to the camp grounds for the day. The breakfasts were some of the best I've had. The fresh cheese with honey is something I still think about. We managed to grab a nice lunch one day and that was top-notch as well. If you're ever in Carmaux, this is the place to stay. They really made our stay so much better.

Lovely 19th century building in an historic city

We choose to stay in Carmoux for one night while traveling through the south of France. The town was previously a center of French coal mining and the home of Jean Jaures, a famous 19th century French Socialist. We arrived on May 1 and everything was closed but the family welcomed us with warmth and made us feel at home.When we asked about food and were told that because of the holiday we wouldn't find anything open they offered to prepare a meal for us. We dined alone in the lovely dinning room and felt blessed by their generosity.

pleasant surprize

Carmaux is off the beaten tourist track, but this stop was charming & convenient for Albi & Cordes du Ciel. The staff are very friendly & competent. The site is peaceful, with pleasant, green views at the rear, but it is a short stroll to the historic area & old square, where local history is well explained. The building has 19th cent. elegance & the rooms & beds are comfortable & clean have all one could need. Dinner was excellent & the chef/owner gives personal attention to his patrons. We were glad that my extensive internet mining found it.
