Pleasant cottage holiday centrally in Vejle and close to Givskud and Legoland
Super cozy campsite with a nice and relaxed atmosphere, located centrally in beautiful nature. We stayed in one of the cabins, which was both cozy and well equipped. Perfect starting point for excursions – close to both Givskud Zoo and Legoland. The staff is welcoming and helpful, and the service is absolutely in the top. A place we can warmly recommend, and which we will definitely like to visit again!

Bad campsite
Reception was very unpleasant. We arrived at 1400 and there was a note on the door saying there were changed opening hours. The man from the campsite was just walking around and meanwhile we were already waiting in the blood heat with three campers in a row. He just left us for an hour!
I started in English to him, whereupon he snapped at me and told me to speak German. Until I told him I wasn't German and then it was okay for me to speak English. Went in a very unfriendly way.
When you come with your camper, you are put in the back of something on a kind of camper places. 6 feet between you and your neighbor.
But you just pay the full pound.
You will also not be able to ask for another place, because that is only for caravans. The campsite is a long path with only one very outdated sanitary block. That's at the very front, you almost have to go there by bike.
It is said that there would be wifi in the TV room. No wifi and not even TV. You cannot wash and dry either, is locked and is under repair. Word is! But this seems to have been the case for a long time.
There are only two showers for the whole campsite for the ladies, and two for the gentlemen. In high season that means waiting, if you want to shower in the morning. The only good thing about this campsite is the distance to town.

Nice cottages with a fantastic location
Very nice and nice cottages! This is a small and nice campsite located near Vejle center, but without being in town. The cottages are clean and nice and have all the amenities you could possibly need. The Owner is very nice!
Right next door is a large forest area that is very nice to walk in. There is also a large enclosure with deer that you can enter. With a short walk you can also reach the sea with a fantastic view of the Vågen houses in Vejle and the Vejlefjord Bridge. By car you can easily reach attractions such as Legoland and Givskud Zoo.

Don't Do It!!
Stayed in a cabin for 4 nights - slept a total of 4 hours max a night.
I am 184cm tall and the room is 190cm wide with the smallest bed possible crammed in for 2 people!
We ended up sleeping apart to try and make it through the night as we were unable to find another available hotel.
Felt like it was straight out of the 1970s.
Old, damp and cold.

Expensive tent stay
We stayed here 2 nights in beautiful sunny weather, using our own tent. The comments here are about the facilities that the camping has to offer.
We paid slightly less than 200DKK for one night, and this included a place to set up the tent and toilet/water. You have to pay additional to take a shower or use electricity. The bathrooms are ok, but typical camping standard. The entrance to the area (for cars) closes at 22:15 in the evening (according to a sign at the entrance), but one night we arrived at that time and it was closed. The manager lives at the site so he opened it for us, although it was more like he did us a favor of letting us in as he said he closed it at 22:00. Also at departure we were criticized for not having ordered electricity and just started to used it, although we were not informed that this was not included.
The tent area is quite large and comfortable. It was easy to find a good spot, as only a few other tents were there. There are several types of bugs that tries to join you inside the tent, but I guess that is something you have to expect. Certainly more bugs than what we are used to when camping in Norway, but I do not think it is specific to this camping site.
There is a small selection of beverages and snacks in the reception, and some kitchen facilities that we did not use. Overall the manager was friendly, except from a couple of unnecessary comments. You can rent a cabin as well.
Overall way too expensive considering cheaper alternatives in the area.
