Surprise

It was late. After a long flight from the US and a long drive down from AMS (we stopped a lot along the way), we were tired and hungry. We needed a place to stay for the night, hopefully outside of Antwerp somewhere and were worried everything was closing down on Sunday night. We found Hofke van Bazel online and made a reservation. As we passed closed restaurant after closed restaurant we began thinking a grocery store would be a great find. Low and behold, when we arrive at the hotel there is a Michelin star next to the door! Indeed, the restaurant was open and we not only had a fabulous room but also the most amazing dinner. Kris is an outstanding chef. I can't begin to describe all the flavors, so many succulent little dishes and an amazing sea bass as the main. This out-of-the-way hotel was such a surprise and one of the greatest eating experiences of our lives an out-of-the-blue gift. Thank you Gina, for being so hospitable, and Kris and the kitchen staff for so much attention to detail! We will always remember the Hofke van Bazel!

This B&B/Fine dining restaurant really sets a standard.
We were shown to our rooms by a very professional young man.
In terms of the room, all I can say is that I have stayed at many 5 star hotels in my life and maybe 1 or 2 come close to the ones at Hofke van Bazel. From the detail to the interior to the furniture. Everything is put together so exquisitely its impossible not to feel impressed.
The in-room breakfast service was absolutely perfect. I didn't expect so much wonderful food to be brought in at once, all that for just two of us
Thank you again for the experience and I look forward to visiting again on my return to Europe.

Wow - Food and Suite

The food and wines are amazing - that is the starting point. When you stay here it adds another dimension. We stayed on one of the 3 suites. Room was stunning. The website does justice to the rooms and to the restaurant. The location is across from the church and there is free parking. First food. Great hand with preparation, fresh ingredients and presentation. Good table spacing across three areas from garden to upper floor with patio. Second night chef worked a special menu for us. Sommelier knows his wines and prices are to be expected. Our room was fantastic. The bathroom was modern, with a large tub and skylights. Bed comfortable. Sitting area comfortable. Breakfast brought to you table in the room. Lighting was lots of candles specialty lights. View is over the back gardens. Room get some noise from the dining room - but that is expected. Staff are friendly and want you to be there. Communication from beginning to end was via email and quick turnaround. Awesome stay.

Een fantastische ervaring

Er zijn nog maar weinig restaurants waar je super lekker kan eten, voldoende privacy hebt en die je een buitengewone ervaring bieden. Het eten is uitzonderlijk lekker en prachtig gepresenteerd. De bediening zeer professioneel. Een ervaring die ik iedereen kan aanraden.

Verjaardag etentje

Vriendelijk ontvangen eten was top . Het was de eerste maal en gaan zeker eens terug. Ze gingen ons eens rondleiden in het restaurant en de wijn kelder maar dat is niet gebeurd spijtig . De bediening was top niet op aan te merken
