Personnel endeavoured within the scope of the possibilities

The rating of four stars refers to the price of bed and breakfast. For the price both are okay, due to the perfect location also good. Based on what IHG conveys on its homepage for a claim to the "Garner" brand, I would award a maximum of three stars.
The hotel is an ageing mid-range house in an acceptable state of care. Wear and tear are visible everywhere, the equipment is partially contemporary. Sleeping comfort is very good if you have a room on the station side and prefer to sleep with an open window, but you should rather pack ear opax. With air conditioning and a closed window, the noise level is probably no problem.
In the shower I would have liked a higher water pressure, but that was also fine.
Cleanliness of the rooms is okay, how long the dead wasp had been on the window sill, I can't say I'm not an entomologist. But this circumstance brings me to the service or performance of the staff in general: From check-in to breakfast to check-out, every employee was mostly striving within the available options. That is all I can and will say.

Great room and breakfast

The rooms were spacious and comfortable, the daily breakfast was exceptional. Service was also very good. My only concern was that the WiFi was not working in the rooms for the entire week we were there. I had to do a little bit of work and had to sit in the tiny lobby to get things done, without a proper desk. Not sure why it took a week to get WiFi up and running again. They really need a business center. Also a fitness center would be good to have.

Good Choice if You Can Overlook Some Things

At the time of my stay this hotel appeared to be switching it's branding to IHG. There was some operational confusion evident, but the staff did their best to smooth things out. My thermostat wasn't working, so they found me a new room, and this seemed to be an issue for other guests as well. The room gave the impression of an old hotel with many upgrades done to the room over time. The common areas (lobby, hallway, etc looked very nice. I really liked that both my rooms had a safe. There was a fridge but no microwave. It can be noisy outside, since it's very near to the train station, and outside there is a lot of trash on the ground as you might find around any large station. Neither of these factors are the hotel's responsibility, but that's the overall atmosphere. I found this to be tolerable given the ability to walk right into the station and go pretty much anywhere you need to from there. So, if you can overlook some of the negatives, this hotel is generally recommended because the staff was doing their best, it's very close to shopping and transportation, and the price in my case was reasonable.

My confirmation was not found at Check-In, even giving your staff my reservation.
After going into other system they found it but price without Breakfast, but in your confirmation in the e-mail showed room+bfst included.Since it was cleared, the staff assured me that all will be OK with rgd to bfst. Upon checking-out, I was again asked to pay for Bfst. I protestd and agn showed your staff the e-mail confirmation.
