Pure Luxury
Wow this hotel is just pure heaven.
The check-in process was quick and easy and the staff were extremely welcoming and informative.
My room was incredible, I had a corner deluxe room and it was so spacious. The bed is one of the best I’ve ever slept in and the linens were heaven. The attention-to-detail is also superb. Two lovely water bottles filled daily. Your coffee maker is even filled up ready for use the next day. It’s these little touches that make a difference. The bvlgari amenities and luxurious robes were also appreciated. The TV is in the mirror which is great, as I don’t watch TV when away so it doesn’t take up any ugly space in the room. Also extremely peaceful so a good night sleep
Is guaranteed. (I noticed walking around the city a lot of roadworks, that are extremely noisy and can imagine other hotels in the region are not so quiet, so this was a good choice).
Location is great and everything is in walking distance.
The SPA is lovely and has a heated pool that runs indoors and outdoors, sauna and steam. The treatments are a little pricy so on this occasion I didn’t take any.
The hotel is absolutely immaculate & the service is top-notch throughout. All of the staff were so friendly and always smiling.
It is the attention-to-detail throughout the hotel that I really enjoyed. For example, they come round and offered complimentary Prosecco when relaxing in the spa.
The umbrellas by the door for are free to use, should you be visiting on a rainy day.
The soft gentle music playing throughout.
I often headed to the lounge/bar area early evening to relax for a bit and they would come and put the fire on and always remembered what I liked to drink.
You also get a lovely bag with pool towels and flip flops in your room for use when going to the SPA.
I wanted a luxury gateway for a few nights and this hotel exceeded my expectations.
My only gripes are that I felt the dining was expensive. I dined one evening in the restaurant and the cost of one dish was quite a lot and the quality wasn’t the best. Also when you book direct you’re supposed to receive a bottle of wine/champagne in your room, this wasn’t done and I had to ask for it the last night.
Overall a fabulous stay and I whilst I don’t plan to come back to Porto I would come back just to stay here for a few nights.

Oasis in Porto
The hotel is in a convenient location to Santa Caterina shopping street, but otherwise there are not many restaurants nearby.
Our room was large and comfortable. The breakfast is both a large, varied buffet and additional menu offerings. The restaurant for dinner was a disappointment. There were two items we were particularly interested in, but both were poor.
The front desk staff are excellent. We were always greeted warmly. They gave us good restaurant suggestions.
The spa is excellent. There is only one treatment room, but we had no problem getting appointments. Use of facilities--steam, sauna, indoor/outdoor pool--are free while staying at the hotel, not just on the day of a treatment.

Outstanding hospitality
Outstanding hotel - possibly the best we have ever stayed in. Attention to detail, friendly and helpful staff, not pretentious, exceptionally maintained, superb food and spa. Can really think of no faults. Breakfast was a combination of buffet and a la carte, with a barista on hand to make any coffee you want.

Wonderful Hotel! And City
This was an amazing super clean hotel with fantastic attentive staff . Breakfast was wonderful!! Loved the Sauna and steam room. Central to all the great sights of the City .the bus tour starts across the road which is a must .if you want to get away from the City beautiful beaches are not far away . Even if you don’t like port the wineries are fascinating to see. Lots of walking so take comfortable footwear. Take a trip to little Italy it is quieter and worth a visit. I wouldn’t like to go to these places in summer as it definitely would be too busy!!! We travelled in May which was perfect.

Perfect hotel !
We had the most amazing stay at this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel in a great location. The rooms were spacious and clean with no details overlooked . The restaurant was delicious with a great Portuguese wine list. It is a quiet oasis in the city. But most of all, the staff are so kind and helpful. One of the best hotel experiences we have had. I highly recommend!!
