Highly recommended

I’ve previously reviewed this hotel as I stayed in the summer of 2024 for about a week. I recommend it as a good hotel in a great location. I was given a small room on a lower floor overlooking Kent Street. It was clean and cosy. It included a fridge and coffee maker. I know some of the rooms have splendid views of the Ottawa River and the city but since I was only there for a few nights and was out most of the day, I stayed where I was.
The staff are very pleasant and helpful and the ambiance on the foyer level is good. There’s a good restaurant and bar. The food served is superior to most of the food I tried in the area, so I recommend the restaurant too. It closes fairly early though like most of Ottawa, so check the hours.
I do think it’s overpriced but most hotels are now.

The hotel was great from the service to cleanliness to amenities. Our kids loved the kids zone and pool. It was very convenient having the Starbucks and restaurant within the hotel. The location was great for accessing the canal and sightseeing.

Awful manager

The hotel is well located, but a bit dated the smell of weed is all around the lobby, front desk employees are nice except Russell Thakur who presents himself as manager, lacks completely of guest relations and needs to be train on how not to allow employees to charge guests credit cards at 12:00 AM for parking when this should be done at check in. He lied to me saying this is an automatic transaction the system does. When the front desk person said this was done by the night shitf.
Russell is not up to the task of being on that position.
