Great Historic Hotel in the Heart of Horsens

Lovely historic hotel in the heart of pedestrianized Horsens with a well curated buffet breakfast that comes with the room. We actually chose to stay in Horsens because of this hotel, which appeared to us to be the best all around choice within a 50 mile radius of Billund, into which we flew, and to have the best restaurant (Eydes) in Horsens. We were not disappointed. The restaurant was great (particularly the Sunday night steak special, which was truly memorable), and Horsens itself turned out be be an excellent, untouristy town to primarily base ourselves for the better part of five days in Jutland, with easy access by car to Aarhus, Kolding, Ribe and Vejle. Speaking of which, I never asked for her name but the woman at the front desk from Vejle was an absolute delight to converse with and really enhanced our entire stay at Jorgensens.

Beautifully renovated historic hotel, plush rooms, lots of stairs

Very much enjoyed two nights at Jorgensens, which has a historic look but plush rooms that feel brand-new. Good beds, good water pressure even on the fourth floor. Caveat: lots of stairs, and elevator does not reach some floors, which can be a problem if you have mobility difficulties or more than carry-on size luggage.
Attached hotel restaurant Eyde's has an excellent burger, but service is verrrry slow. Waited 35-45 minutes both times I dined there. Good breakfast for hotel guests, including home-baked bread, but again service problems, with lots of used plates lingering around the dining area.
Nevertheless, I would recommend this hotel, which is right in the center of a lively area of Horsens. Lots of dining, museum, and theater options nearby. A good stay.

Fish and Seafood Night

We were at a fantastic seafood dinner at the Jørgensens hotel, in the most beautiful setting.
Very delicious 6 dishes menu, especially the middle dish with virgin hummer and tomato was quite eminent. the best food we have been served for many years.

One of the best hotels in Denmark is Jørgensens Hotel in Horsens

A perfect stay - we checked in already at 12:15 - our rooms were already ready. Service is at the top.
The breakfast the next day was in absolute top class, with plenty of varied and welcoming breakfast. The "English" breakfast is our clear favorite.
Have now stayed at the Jørgensens Hotel many times over the last years and the standard is quite at the top. Everything is just a perfect experience.

Friendly and competent staff and high quality

My wife and I have just returned home from a little holiday in Jutland. One of our nights was at Jørgensens Hotel. I had a few years ago visited the hotel alone, and that visit was a very positive experience. That's why I chose my wife and I to stay overnight there. Another reason was that the hotel’s kitchen also offered a good evening menu.
Both our room, the beds, the menu and the breakfast lived up to our high expectations. The room was comfortable and clean. The kitchen provided a fantastic tasty 3-course menu as well as a lovely breakfast buffet, and everything was handled by a smiling, friendly and competent staff.
This is definitely not the last time my wife and I visit Jørgensens Hotel.
