Cherylle was fantastic

We found that we had made a mistake with our date and the motel was full. This was no problem for Cherylle. She phoned around a found us a suitable place. The only charge she made (even though she was entitled to more) was the booking commission. She really was so helpful. We cannot make any comments about the accomodation. for obvious reaons.

Needs maintenance

After reading all the other online reviews I decided to book a room here. When calling the premises (on two occasions) the phone rang 10 plus times before being answered. Obviously everyone has bad days and I’d like to say is true for this experience. However, upon arrival I was drilled by the lady for not having a smart phone to “sign in” to which I stated I’d be happy to fill out a form or do manually. After some grumbling I was told to use her tablet and manually sign in. No problem, she’s entitled to her views as I am to mine. The room: horrible mould smell, I found three full rolls of toilet paper under the sink with were sodden with water. (Cause of smell) took them outside to the bin. There was considerable dirt under beds and the shower rose had water squirting in every direction. As there was no cover to the fan in the bathroom, there were flies in the room all afternoon despite air conditioning on. I hope this was a one off. Lastly, the bed. Ouch! Springs I’m my back all night. Old and desperately in need of a new furnishings. I’ve stayed at another motel in Charters Towers and they were much cleaner, friendlier with nicer facilities all for the same price.

Beautiful country hospitality!

A recent family tragedy brought a large number of our families together in Charters Towers for a few days. The hospitality shown by Cherylle and Alan was incredible. They welcomed our visitors to the motel so that they could support us during this time. The hosts opened up the very well equipped camp kitchen to us all and nothing was too much bother.
The rooms were clean and warm, and the beds were very comfortable. Good old country courtesy and friendship is alive and well in Charters Towers.

Expected more

After reading the other reviews I chose this motel, it was clean and roomy and reception very friendly. However the shower screen is still cracked (mentioned in a review 18 months ago), The bathroom could really do with a good makeover. Having said that it did suit our needs, a bed for 2 nights to explore the area nearby.

Quiet with decent sized rooms.

Located this one on Google Maps.
Rang and booked a room.
Good sized rooms, with plenty of Coffee, Tea & Sugar.
Even though it is close to the road; road noise is not that noticeable.
The room I am in has ample room to set up the laptop and spread my paperwork around; Doing quotes and scheduling loads and deliveries.
This motel is both better value and cleaner than the other motel we stayed at here (Charters Towers) the night before.
The reason for two night stays is that we managed to get ahead of schedule, so decided to tourist around the town.
Will definitely stay here at this motel again.
